Original Movie Poster revised
Last week I was told to create an identity font for the poster. To do this I changed the font to a felt marker tip in illustrator then I turned the title into shapes, after that I pulled a few points around to keep the arrows on upside-down. Once I was done with that I added in the little hair/antennae piece from the main character to some key letters or places in the title. I also fixed the feet on one of the background characters.

Original Movie Poster
I did this movie poster about one of my uncle's first short films. This movie poster was designed using my uncle's own animations from the movie. I scanned in the movie cover he designed so I could use Illustrator to draw the characters. Then I dropped the characters into Photoshop.

Inspirational Quote
I know this quote is from a hockey player but I first applied it to basketball when my brother was playing community sports. I chose this because I feel that it can be applied to many aspects of life.

Movie Poster: success or failure?
I liked this movie poster for The Fugitive because it made me wonder why he was running and what he was running from. The blurring of the background makes it seem like he's running out of time or that he's trying to get somewhere. The bold white lettering on a black background reminds me of news headlines. The four little phrases at the top really caught my attention. This movie is really pictured well in the poster because it's an action/drama film. In general the poster just catches my attention.
I didn't like this poster because the pink lettering on blue was really hard to see when the font was distorted. I felt like the little cartoon took away or distracted from the movie title. The poster doesn't even tell when the movie is coming out.

This is me
I chose this picture because I feel that it shows me as more than just an art student. This picture describes how close I am with my family and the outdoors. My family tries to go camping every summer and our favorite area to camp in northern Minnesota, specifically the state parks. I'm interested in the natural perspective of graphic design and the visual arts because it appeals to me as an individual. Obviously that is not my only interest, I like reading and signing as well as learning to play my guitar. My favorite color is either lavender or a deep royal purple. I like Tinkerbell and dolphins. My favorite genre of music is hands down Country Music, in fact my current favorite song is “She’s Country” by Jason Aldean. If given the choice between a t-shirt, blue jeans, and a hoodie or a dress, I would pick the t-shirt, blue jeans, and hoodie most of the time. I grew up in a FORD household so someday I would like to own a blue F-150 and a dark candy apple red Mustang GT. My dad and uncle are both mechanics and my brother is going to tech school to become one so I’m probably more comfortable in a garage than at the mall although I do like to shop a lot, just ask my mom.
